What is Lacquer?
Lacquer is a hard substance which gives a shiny finish to metals and woods. The finish can be of any level from ultra-mate to highly glossy. Lacquer sheen is the measurement of gloss for a given lacquer. Some of the names for sheen are – flat, matte, egg shell, satin, semi-gloss and gloss. Lacquers can be of many types – Nitrocellulose lacquers, Acrylic lacquers, Water based lacquers, Japanning.
