Galvanized Steel Wire Drawing Project

Cold-drawing stainless steel wire from stainless steel wire rod of suitable composition by one or more carbide or diamond dies produces stainless steel wire. The diameter of the steel rod is decreased and the length is inevitably extended as it goes through each die. The number of reductions needed is determined by variables such as initial rod diameter, final wire diameter, and end-use applications.

The amount of cross-sectional area reduction that happens at each die determines the degree of work hardening and whether or not additional reduction is necessary before annealing. To soften the work-hardened wire per minute, annealing is necessary.

Stainless steel wire is desired or favored over other base-metal wires for specific end-use applications due to its appearance, toughness, smoothness, non-corrosiveness, and resistance to elevated temperatures.

What is the Scope in the Indian Market?

·         India was the world’s second-largest steel producer with production standing at 111.2 million tonnes (MT) in 2019.

·         The expansion within the Indian steel sector has been driven by the domestic handiness of raw materials like ore and efficient labor. Consequently, the steel sector has been a serious contributor to India’s producing output.

·         The Indian industry is trendy with progressive steel mills. It's perpetually strived for continuous modernization of older plants and up-gradation to higher energy potency levels.

Market Outlook

Galvanized Wire is used to produce a range of engineering goods such as construction machinery, barbed wires, windows, rivets, and more. Specific wire quality is often expected for special purpose fasteners, reinforcing wire, and other applications. Galvanized wire is a mild wire that has been covered with a zinc steel layer. The zinc coating gives cathodic protection to the steel under the surface. In a humid environment, galvanized wire provides greater surface protection at a lower cost.

Galvanized wire is in high demand due to its versatility in a variety of applications. The downstream industries have a high demand for this product. The practice is highly feasible in the industry, and promotion is usually not a concern, thanks to the availability of suitable technologies.

The demand of Steel Wire Industry

The growing electrification and extension of the railway network, as well as gauge modification of railway tracks, are projected to generate a large demand. On the other side, demand for precast cement products, both imported and domestic, is expected to skyrocket.

Similarly, expanding the telephone network would increase demand. It's also used in the strand, which has a market in the electrical and railway industries, among other things. G.I. Wires, in the shape of the round strand, is often used in transportation.

Steel wire has a lot of promise in the manufacturing, equipment, and automobile sectors. Steel wires are also used in several building ventures as well as many general engineering uses in the machinery and heavy equipment sectors, as well as the maritime industry.

Global Market Outlook of Galvanised Steel wire

During the period 2018-2022, the global galvanized steel market is expected to expand at a CAGR of more than 5%.

One of the big developments in the global galvanized steel sector is the growing use of galvanized steel pipes in the oil and gas industry.

Galvanized steel pipes are commonly used in the oil and gas industry for a variety of purposes, including mining, manufacturing, and transportation. The oil and gas industry wants pipes that are both durable and thermally stable. These pipes are designed to withstand extreme environmental and chemical environments.

In 2015, the production of Galvanized Steel wire in the United States was around 124.77 million dollars, and in 2016, the revenue of Galvanized Steel wire was around 129.79 million dollars.
