Freelance Project Engineer – Semiconductor Manufacturing Consultancy

Key Responsibilities
Technical & Process Consultancy
- Prepare complete manufacturing process flow for semiconductor projects (fab, OSAT, ATMP, wafer processing, backend, etc.)
- Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and block layouts
- Recommend plant capacity, technology selection, and equipment configuration
- Define cleanroom requirements, utilities, HVAC, gases, chemicals, water, and power systems
- Support vendor evaluation for machinery and technology partners
DPR & Documentation
- Prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) covering:
- Technical feasibility
- Manufacturing process description
- Plant & machinery specification and costing
- Raw material and consumables requirement
- Utilities & infrastructure planning
- Manpower planning
- Implementation schedule
Financial & Commercial Analysis
- Prepare project financial models, including:
- Capital investment (CAPEX)
- Operating cost (OPEX)
- Cost of production
- Profitability analysis
- Cash flow, IRR, NPV, DSCR, break-even analysis
- Align project economics with investor, lender, and government incentive expectations
Regulatory & Policy Support
- Assist in mapping government incentives, PLI schemes, subsidies, and policy benefits
- Support compliance framework understanding (environmental, safety, and statutory requirements)
