White oil has a variety of names that correspondtowards the intended use of the oil.  Thegeneral and interchangeable, names are white oil and mineral oil. A few othernames include paraffinic perliquidum, paraffin oil, liquid paraffin, and liquidpetroleum.  White oil is a colorless andodorless mixture of higher alkanes from a mineral source. This mineral sourceis usually from a distillate of petroleum.
