The terminology ?Reeling? pertains to the proces of unwinding of cocoons to produce continuous thread of raw silk fit for weaving. Silk is the most prized of all the textile fibres. It is the continuous filament extruded by silkworm at the end of its larval period, through a small opening under the jaws. Raw silk is classified into different grades according to the quality of the yarn. It has a great variety of used in apparel, drapery, up holstery and other areas.
