Mono Ethylene glycol has a large industrial and commercial use. It is used as coolant and antifreeze, ashphalt, emulsion paints, heat transfer agent, low pressure laminates, brake fluids, polyester fibers and films, dynamite, solvent, cosmetics, printing inks, leather dyeing, ball-point pen inks, foam stabilizer etc. It is slightly viscous liquid with a sweet taste. The most important use of Mono Ethylene glycol is for the production of polyester (staple fibers). It is also used in audio and videotapes, sun coated films, brake fluids and dehydrates. The growth rate in demand is 4 - 4.5 % per annum. So there is a very good market for this product.
